The subject of invasive alien animals and plants is serious enough, but these illustrations are meant to lighten up a series of educational posters on the subject. Muskrat Nana plays small jokes and explains the subject in her own way. A paper airplane flies through the sky, but look, there is a stowaway: an Asian Longhorn beetle is on board! Invasive Bamboo can be used to make wonderful flutes, but that doesn’t make it any less problematic for nature. And invasive terrapins can give you a ride like a boat, if you are small enough. One day, I should make a children’s’ book like this.
By the way, at the bottom of the posters, there are illustrations as well: of a colourful meadow with some invasive alien plants in between.
